Mr Dread gets a lot of questions about dreadlocks. Here are the answers to the frequently asked questions.

DREADS FROM YOUR OWN HAIR:

• 'Dreads from your own hair', the starting costs are € 75,-. After that € 7,- per dread (short hair), € 8,- to € 10,- per dread (middle length) and € 10,- to € 12,50 per dread (long hair).
• The amount of dreads depends on the thickness of your own hair
• Normally on 1 head go between 40 and 70 dreads.
• There are No chemicals used during the treathment of getting dreads (the dreads are not permanent waved in, because from this the dreads will break after a while)
• You've then got beautiful natural dreads, from the first day on.
• This treatment is once, because the hair grows in a dready way from itself, if you let it knot extra on time.
• The thickness of the dreads, you can decide it yourself. But we are dependent of the quality of your own hair.
• You can color your hair normally
• You can keep sporting and swimming, even in the sea.
• Every 3 months you can update your dreads and restore them.
• Updating your dreads: This costs € 22,- for half an hour*** € 44,- for an hour*** € 65,- for 1,5 hour *** € 130,- for 3 hours ***€ 195,- for 4,5 hours.
• When you have short hair, or a short pony we can extend it with fibre or real human hair, precisely in your own colour. This costs € 6.50 per dread.
• Restoring your dreads costs € 70,- for Starting costs, after that it will be between 2 and 15 Euro per dread. We can give you an indication of the price before you come, call or mail us for more information.
• We have special shampoo to wash your dreads (Knotty Boy).
• Our wax is also from Knotty Boy, you can buy this in our Online Webshop!
• You can wear dreads for years, when you consider stopping with the dreads, you will have to cut your hair. (About 10 -15 cm short, absolutely not bald!)

DREADS FROM FIBRE HAIR:

• Dreadlocks from fibre hair, are for a whole head of dreadlocks € 7,- per dread.
• On a whole head go about 90 to 100 dreads, according what the customer wishes
• We work with our own special developed steam machine, so you get soft dreads with a hard core so that the bottom of the dread doesn't fray
• It doesn't damage your own hair; you can wash it normally
• Your own hair must be at least 6 cm long.
• When your own hair is not longer than 25 cm, we put your own hair nicely in the dread.
• You don't have to cut your hair when you put out your dreads.
• Your own hair stays healthy. You can remove the fibre dreads really easy for yourself.
• This Dreadlocks-treatment takes place in about 6 hours.
• You will have the best quality dreads in the world.
• To maintain your dreadlocks from fibre hair is very easily
• Wash it with 1 part of shampoo and 10 parts of water.
